Paige Melton is a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC), performer, and musician based in Philadelphia, originally from rural Virginia. As a performer, she has shared her music across the East Coast, tailoring her sets for diverse audiences in venues, festivals, and community spaces.
Paige came from a family that was fully immersed in music. On one side, her mother and aunts were all gifted with a natural knack for intricate vocal harmonies, with the warmest timbres. Then she had her father to look up to, with his incomparable, seasoned Blues and Rock and Roll keyboard playing. Him taking her along to his studio recording sessions, or to one of his weekend gigs, is what first introduced Paige to the lifestyle of the professional musician.
After graduating from West Point High School in 2014, Paige moved to Richmond to further her studies in music at Virginia Commonwealth University. There, she studied jazz voice, guitar, and piano, as well as classical technique and music therapy, before graduating with a major in Music and minor in Psychology.
In her clinical work, Paige specializes in trauma-informed care, supporting individuals affected by substance use disorders, children who witness intimate partner violence, and PTSD. She is especially passionate about helping young people explore identity formation, self-expression, and personal growth through creative modalities. Paige’s roles as a therapist and performer allow her to combine her love for music with her commitment to fostering healing and empowerment.
